European Licensee PRINCE
It all started in 1970 in Princeton, New Jersey, when Bob McClure created the first ball machine using a vacuum-cleaner motor. Prince Sports Inc. was born.
In 1976, Prince continued to innovate with the first oversized racquet, offering a sweet spot 50% larger than conventional frames – the era of the Prince Classic 110 and a major boom in tennis.
In 1978, Prince revolutionised the tennis world with the Prince Original Graphite, the legendary POG – the first graphite racquet. The oversized POG dominated the courts through to the early 1990s.
Fuelled by a passion for innovation, Prince has constantly reinvented racquet-sports equipment.
Chang, Agassi, Seles, Sabatini and Juan Carlos Ferrero – so many big names that made tennis history and helped build Prince’s global reputation.
Squash is no exception. Since its first squash racquet in 1976, the American brand has partnered with top champions such as Peter Nicol, Nicol David, Ramy Ashour, James Willstrop, Camille Serme, Saurav Ghosal and Tarek Momen.
As European licensee for the legendary “P”, Groupe Magellan is behind the global collaboration with Italian brand Hydrogen, with each drop pushing the boundaries of tennis design.
